Course 9

THE PROPHETIC ANOINTING

We are living in a prophetic season. Jesus wants to communicate with His Church and has things He wants to say to us today. Developing our prophetic anointing comes as we develop our relationship with Jesus. As we draw aside from our busy lives and spend time with God and ask Him to speak to us, we will hear His voice more and more clearly. Prophets are able to see and hear directly from God and are divine channels that open portals in the Spirit. Their words are divinely sanctioned by God and anointed by the Holy Spirit. God has commissioned them to impart the prophetic anointing to the Body of Christ in these last days. They are called to stir up the prophetic Spirit in each believer.

Course 10

POWER PRINCIPLES

The early church was born in a demonstration of the power of God, not through great public speakers or theological debate. As in the early church, there also must be a demonstration of the power of God. They do not really understand the power of the Gospel. Many ministers today are well-educated. They preach with enticing words of man's wisdom, but there is no demonstration of the Holy Spirit and power. If your faith is to stand in the power of God instead of the wisdom of man, you must experience the same flow of power, as did the early church.

Major Courses (5)

Course 11

COUNSELING

It is important for counselor to realise that the Bible is never outdated. Within the Scripture, lies the answer to any situation or problem that is presented to the counselor. Scripture is given to us for reproof, correction, rebuke, and instruction in righteous living. Therefore, it is the duty of the Christian counselor to refer to the Scriptures for direction in every matter and situation. There is a continual trend among those in psychology, psychiatry, and other professionals who are consistently using the Bible in counseling. They have discovered that the Bible is for every generation and is the most effective tool in the hands of the counselor. The sad fact is, there are those who do not use the Word of God in their counseling.

Course 12

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Psychology and Christianity provide an examination of human nature from the perspective of psychology and Christian belief and examine the relationship between mind, body, and soul; the nature of human freedom; Christian prayer; conversion; and the relationships between people's attitudes and their behaviour. Students will broaden their understanding of God's creation within the context of psychology and will challenge them to confront the complexities of the integration of psychology and faith. They will explore some aspects of this question by thinking about the questions regarding the human condition that Christians in psychology should be trying to answer.

Course 13

BUILDING HEALTHY FAMILIES

Marriage was instituted by God when He observed that it is not good that the man should be alone, and which is why He said that He would make him a help meet for him. The creation of Adam was declared by God to be good. Adam was a whole person, and as a man he was made perfect, fresh from God's creative hands. Woman was made a unique divine creation, perfect as a woman. As an individual Adam was made perfect but incomplete in that he needed companionship and help which only the woman, Eve, could provide for him. The union of these two completed the wholeness that separately they did not have as individuals. A Christian marriage is a spiritual and physical relationship of companionship, closeness, intimacy, and equality.

Course 14

SUBSTANCE ABUSE

The term substance abuse indicates the use of drugs for a reason other than its intended purpose. The aim of this misuse is to achieve some form of mind-altering effect in the user. When this occurs, it often involves the use of the substance in exaggerated quantities. This incorporates both the use of illegally produced substances, and the abuse of legal drugs. Alcohol is by far the most commonly abused substance among adolescents, this is closely followed by cigarettes and Marijuana.

Course 15

OVERCOMING CRISIS

There are always "some" with a bad report. In fact, there are usually "more" than "some" because we live in a negatively-oriented world. If you don't believe it, observe what happens when you share an innovative idea. The common response is for others to immediately point out why your plan won't work. This negative mind-set is tremendously evident on the evening television news where practically every report concerns crime, political wrangling, or societal crisis. Whatever the form of your "bad report," whoever the source, and regardless of its message, the book you now hold in your hands is your answer. You will learn what to do when you don't know what to do, using Biblical guidelines drawn from the story of King Jehoshaphat's battle with enemy forces record in 2 Chronicles 20.
