Course Outline

Course 1 Learning To Lead In Ministry

  • understanding leadership
  • mentoring potential leaders
  • understanding vision
  •  the pitfalls of leadership
  • crises and conflict
  • New Testament leadership structure
  • leadership in the 21st century
  • leadership in the Old Testament
  • leadership in the New Testament
  • woman in Christian leadership
  • characteristics of great leaders

There is a great need for good leaders in the church today. Christian leaders are taught by Jesus to serve rather than to control and manipulate others and to have the welfare of the people and God's purpose as their motivation. It must be remembered that spiritual leaders must give an account for the lives and spiritual well-being of their followers. Leadership learning is a lifetime activity because there is always more to learn. These do not come naturally, but are acquired through continual work and study. Good leaders are continually working and studying to improve their leadership skills.

Course 2 The Book of Ephesians

  • the place of the believer in Christ
  • salvation by grace
  • the mystery revealed
  • walking worthy of our call
  • spiritual maturity

Paul's Letter to the Ephesians amounts to a short course in theology. Because of its majestic and exalted content, it has been hailed as "The Queen of the Epistles." Paul wrote the letter to encourage the personal faith of the Christians. It gives teaching, prayers, and great praises to God. It is about God's Son, Jesus Christ. He will work out His purposes in and by the church. This course aims to help beginning readers grasp the main theological themes in Paul's letter in a logical and coherent fashion.

Course 3 Supernatural Health and Healing

  • does God heal today
  • the source of sickness, disease, death
  • the healing covenant
  • the laws of divine healing
  • what is hindering our healing
  • how to receive your healing
  • biblical steps to inner healing
  • how you can live a good long life
  • a ministry of healing

God wants us to pray to Him for help. In Luke 18:1 Jesus told His disciples that they should always pray and not give up. Theologians and religious men have debated this issue about healing for years. Some say Yes, others No. What does the Bible say? That is what counts! If Jesus Christ is real, then divine healing is real. Over 20 percent of the Gospel is about the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. Jesus taught His disciples how to pray and heal. He sent them to carry on His work. Wouldn't Jesus want His followers to pray for healing today?

Course 4 Supernatural Gifts

  • natural and supernatural gifts
  • baptism in the Holy Spirit
  • understanding spiritual gifts
  • the ministry gifts
  • the manifestation gifts
  • the miscellaneous gifts
  • gifted for the kingdom

Spiritual gifts remain available as a part of God's plan for His church and are increasingly being manifested within fellowships and believers around the world. The purpose of all the gifts is to edify the church, and their distribution within the body is completely dependent upon the discretion of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God is absolutely sovereign and gives both the gifts and the faith to use them to whoever He pleases for the edification and comfort of His body. These gifts belong to the church and are manifested through individuals as the Spirit wills, not as man wills.

Course 5 Praise and Worship

  • God’s pattern for praise
  • God’s pattern for worship
  • praise brings God’s blessing
  • Biblical words of praise
  • God’s eternal purpose for praise
  • music an expression of worship
  • physical expression of praise
  • offering sacrifice of praise
  • living as priests
  • victory through praise and worship
  • praise and worship leadership
  • ministering as a worship leader

Even as the Aaronic priests entered daily into the Tabernacle of Moses and later into Solomon's temple, today we, as believer-priests are to come daily into His Presence. At the moment Jesus died on the cross, the veil which separated man from God was supernaturally torn from top to bottom. Man no longer needed to be separated from God because of sin. Man's sins could be forgiven. Now, men and women could boldly enter into God's Presence. We should continue to draw closer to God and press in, closer and closer, until we are totally at one with Him.

Course 6 Preparing for Ministry

  • understanding the anointing
  • receiving and releasing the anointing
  • characteristics of the anointing
  • purpose of the anointing
  • ministering with the anointing
  • anointed to speak
  • characteristics of the end-time anointing
  • growing into your anointing

You must understand yourself enough to know what you want in life and what desires you believe are worthwhile for your future. You need to depend upon yourself and your talents. Appreciate others for their personal skills and abilities, but always continue to focus on your own strengths and energies. If you have dreams, then you have a purpose. You have something to believe in and work towards obtaining. Search for your true meaning in life by devoting yourself to your ideals, and enjoy your wonderful adventure through time by making every day special.

Course 7 Kingdom Principles

  • the kingdom of God
  • principle of growth
  • testing and approval

The early church was born in a demonstration of power of God, not through great public speakers or theological debate. Jesus left believers with a great mission of reaching the world with the Gospel of the Kingdom. This task will not be accomplished by words alone. As in the early church, there must be a demonstration of the power of God. Many people know the Word of God but have not experienced the power of God. If your faith is to stand in the power of God instead of the wisdom of man, you must experience the same flow of power, as did the early church.

Course 8 Anointed for Ministry

  • understanding the anointing
  • receiving and releasing the anointing
  • characteristics of the anointing
  • purpose of the anointing
  • ministering with the anointing
  • anointed to speak
  • characteristics of the end-time anointing
  • growing into your anointing

The anointing of the Holy Spirit is a prerequisite for all those who want to do great works for the Lord today. We are not able to really succeed in life and ministry without the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. This cannot be over-emphasised. Jesus had to instruct His disciples to wait for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit before they could launch their ministries. The true purpose of the anointing is service. It is to glorify the Lord and benefit humanity.

Course 9 The 21st Century Church

  • the church
  • the Spirit-led church
  • leadership
  • evangelising today’s church
  • family building and strengthening the church
  • vision

Churches face the continual challenge of remaining culturally relevant while not compromising Biblical principles. We must examine the current condition of the church, our changing culture, and possible church structures. The church has changed a great deal over the centuries. It has become very complex and business-like. As we move ahead in the early years of the 21st century, we have some very important decisions to make. The church is at a crossroads, it faces a moment of decision.

Course 10 Environmental Analysis

  • the environment
  • environment analysis
  • personal environmental analysis
  • analysing a people group
  • analysing an area
  • analysing a nation
  • analysing a region
  • analysing an existing organisation
  • a strategy for planning

This course introduces principles of environmental analysis necessary for organising and mobilising spiritual resources for evangelising. This study stresses the importance of environmental analysis in planning strategies to reach the world with the Gospel. "Environmental analysis" is defined and reviewed in the Old and New Testament records. Instructions are given for doing a personal environmental analysis and analysing people groups, geographic areas, nations, regions of the world, and Christian organisations.
