General Courses Description

Course 1

BIBLICAL WORLD VIEW

Christians need to know what they believe and why they believe it. Everything that God has done throughout Biblical history was to point the way to the Messiah, reveal His redemptive work, and establish His Kingdom on the earth. This course will explain how God sent Jesus to bring the promise of God to all nations and all peoples. Jesus taught how the message of God's love is to be brought to all and is not exclusive on one nation. In His ministry, Jesus passed on the lesson and the commission to His Church to carry on in His absence.

Course 2

THE TABERNACLE OF MOSES

This graduate course is written to give all students, a thorough understanding of the ancient religious customs originated by God when He established the first Tabernacle in the wilderness for the children of Israel. One of the most important lessons that we can learn from the Tabernacle is the way to draw near to God; whose dwelling place is the Holy of Holies. God established a Tabernacle through His servant Moses so that the Israelites could understand how to come into His presence. This study will help you see that the pattern set forth by God had to be followed precisely as requested. God gave Moses clear instruction in Exodus 25:9.

Course 3

THE ARMOUR BEARER

It is impossible to lead without having others that will follow your influence. The success of any leader and the vision God has entrusted him with is largely dependent on his ability to work with others, and for others to work with him.The characteristics of those whom the leader chooses as his "armour bearer," or servant leaders in a ministry are very important. This book is written from an "armour bearer's" perspective of what he feels are the most important attributes that a leader needs from this ministry. We will examine the ministry of armour bearers in the Old and New Testament and for modern life in the Body of Christ.

Course 4

PROTOCOLS IN MINISTRY

This course lists many do's and dont's of ministry. There is a great temptation for Pastors to make laws to control their people. This often comes out of insecurity, lack of knowledge, or impatience with their spiritual progress. People are more likely to respond to wise counsel rather than a law. They will to recognize your authority through your wisdom.

Course 5

THE POWER OF THE LOCAL CHURCH

Leading a church is not an easy task and means to serve and not to command. A church is a complex entity. It consists of people from all walks of life. This includes different age groups, various levels of education, and different cultural backgrounds. It also includes, singles, married couples, and families. In order to be successful, the church has to serve all these diverse needs and wants. It is important to search for principles of good church leadership as portrayed in the Bible rather than to seek a specific model.

Course 6

THE FIVE-FOLD ANOINTING

The manifest Presence and Power of God seems to be lacking in the Church today. People are longing to sense the anointing of the Spirit of God. Good preaching, powerful programs and excellent fellowship are wonderful, but they are no substitute for the anointing of the Holy Spirit. There is a price to pay for all who want to live and minister in the fullness of the Holy Spirit's anointing. A thorough study and understanding of the anointing is vital if the 21st century Church is to carry out its commission and effectively take the Gospel of the Kingdom to all the nations.

Course 7

KNOW WHAT YOU BELIEVE

It is very important to know what we mean when we say "I believe." Especially when we say, "I believe in God." How does that differ from the heathen viewpoint or the viewpoint of other faiths? What do they mean when they say, "We believe in God"? How does that differ from our declaration? It is vital to know what we believe and why we believe it so that we are not left at the mercy of cults and human philosophy. It is not enough just to declare, "I believe in God" and then to be selective about what we believe. We have to believe the whole counsel of God as revealed in the Holy Bible.

Course 8

WORLD RELIGIONS

Studies in religion are concerned with the diversity of religious experience and expression across all civilisations, ancient and modern, and all racial and ethnic backgrounds. Since the Christian life cannot be lived in a socio-cultural nor religious vacuum, Christians must develop the capacity to critically evaluate alternative religious traditions and worldviews, and to cultivate the skills necessary to participate fully and responsibly as Christians in religiously plural societies.
